My conversation on history with Balaji Srinivasan

I talked yesterday with Balaji Srinivasan. This is a rather focused conversation. The theme is history: what can we know about the history of the present moment, what is the final significance of our moment in history. We discuss two events I think we both agree have a claim to being considered the defining historical events of our lifetimes: Covid and crypto. Balaji tries to help us understand how they will look like in the fullness of time. Another way to put it: how will Covid and crypto be written about by historians decades into the future.
